The Coatesville Veterans Administration Hospital Historic District, in or near Coatesville, Pennsylvania, was built in 1929. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. The listing included 37 contributing buildings, four contributing structures, a contributing object and two contributing sites.[1]
It was built by the Veterans Bureau Construction Div. and VA Construction Service and includes Colonial Revival and Classical Revival.[1]
It is also known as the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.[1]
"The original mission of the hospital was to provide neuropsychiatric care to veterans, and the historic district preserves the general characteristics" of the period.[2]
It was listed in conformance with a 2011 study of veterans hospitals nationwide.[3]
