Cross Channel is a collection of short stories by Julian Barnes, first published in 1996 by Jonathan Cape.[1] As the title suggests, all stories focus on the connection between England and France.

  • Evermore - Visit every year her sister travels via Morris to see her brother's grave at Thieval.
  • Gnossienne - He attends conference both pataphysics and Oulipo.
  • Dragons - Dragons live in Gruissain
  • Brambilla - Concerns cyclist Pierre Brambilla.
  • Hermitage - Emily and Florence live in Essex near turnip-fields but have moved to vineyards.
  • Tunnel - An elderly man travels on the Eurostar and visits his grandad who dies in the Somme.
