David DeFries (born 24 May 1952) is a British jazz trumpeter, flugelhornist and percussionist born in London, probably best known for having been a member of Brotherhood of Breath founded by Chris McGregor.[1]

He was also a member of the Breakfast Band, which occasionally recorded sessions for BBC Radio Two's Night Owls, hosted by Dave Gelly.

He was a key member of Loose Tubes.
