The devilray, Japanese devilray, spinetail devilray, or spinetail mobula (Mobula japanica) is a species of fish in the Myliobatidae family. It is found in Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Mexico, Myanmar, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, the Philippines, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Tuvalu, the United States, Vietnam, and Yemen. Its natural habitats are open seas, shallow seas, and coral reefs.
