There's no such thing as "perceiving" an infinite frequency. Ears have a limited range of frequencies they can respond to. Moreover, we don't directly "perceive" frequency. We perceive pitch, which is a subjective quality based on frequency. Also, a sonic boom doesn't mean the frequency is infinite; that would be outside the range of anyone's hearing and thus not a "boom." undo Tag: Reverted
