David Eric England (born February 23, 1988) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter.[1][2] He is known for writing and directing the body horror film Contracted (2013), and later Get the Girl (2017) and Josie (2019). England also produced and co-wrote Greenlight (2019) with Patrick Robert Young and Graham Denman, but following the resurfacing of England's sexual abuse and assault allegations, his name was removed from the film by the distributors.[3][4]

Sexual abuse and assault allegations

In March 2018, actress Katie Stegeman accused England of threatening her with knives, screwdrivers, and scissors, choking her, and throwing her into tables over the course of their three year relationship. Stegeman also claimed turning the director down for sex would "awaken the beast". The actress added that England had a surrounding team who were aware of his actions and his encounters with the Los Angeles Police Department. England denied the accusations.[5]
