The Euro International school shooting occurred on December 12, 2007 at Euro International, a private secondary school in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. The gunmen were 14-year-old Akash Yadav[citation needed] and 13-year-old Manish Bihari[citation needed], who were both students at the school.

Details

Abhishek Tyagi (14), a student studying in grade 8, was shot dead by Akash Yadav (14)[citation needed].

Akash Yadav used his father's gun to kill Abhishek.[citation needed] Akash's father left the gun unlocked and Akash[citation needed] brought the gun to school and hid it in the school toilet. After school was over, he took the gun to the school bus and shot Abhishek Tyagi four times at close range after handing the gun over to his friend Manish Bihari(13) who shot at Abhishek once but missed.

Motive

Akash had gotten into a fight with Abhishek, though the fight was resolved by school authorities. The school had organised sports day for 9 December and on that day Akash along with his friend thought of shooting Abhishek, but their plan failed as Abhishek went to his home earlier. Akash got angry and thought that he would definitely kill him on Tuesday as Monday was a holiday. On 11 December, Suchi got his father's gun and hid it in the washroom under the toilet seat. At the time of dispersal in the afternoon, Abhishek was going to his bus room. Akash called out to him from behind. Abhishek's leg was stuck in the stair's grill. Akash then approached him and fired at Abhishek three times, and then asked his friend Manish to fire.[citation needed]
