FK Otrant (Montenegrin:Fudbalski klub Otrant, Albanian:Klubi Futbolistik Otrant) is a Montenegrin football club based in the coastal town of Ulcinj.
Currently, they compete in Montenegrin Second League.
History
First football club in Ulcinj is founded at 1921[1] under the name Ulcinj. In the period 1921-1941, the team played only non-official games.
After 1945, in SFR Yugoslavia era, club played under the name Bjelogorac. Since 1970's, they played in Fourth League - South (lowest rank). At the season 1977-78, under the old name - Ulcinj, the club made biggest success until that period, winning the second place in the Fourth League. That meaned promotion to Montenegrin Republic League.[2]
From 1978 to 2006, FK Otrant played numerous seasons in the Republic League, with often relegations to lower rank. At the start of 90's, club was disfunct. Few years after that, the team was refounded under the name FK Otrant.
Otrant made greatest results in the club history in period after Montenegrin independence. At two seasons, they won the champions title in Montenegrin Third League and, from 2007 to 2017, played five seasons in Montenegrin Second League.
In the period 2008-2014, FK Otrant was not the only football club in Ulcinj. At that time, in the southern Montenegrin town existed OFK Federal, too.
