Fabrizio Zaldivar (born 8 February 2001) is a rally driver from Paraguay. He is the son of a well-known Paraguayan rally driver and owner of MZR Paraguay, Miguel Zaldivar.
Career
Zaldivar started rallying in 2016, entering several events around Paraguay.[1] He made his WRC debut in 2019 by contesting the JWRC and managed to finish 8th overall. He remained in the series in 2020, finishing 4th this time. His co-driver during both campaigns was Fernando Mussano.
Zaldivar switched to WRC-3 in 2021. Upon splitting his ways with Mussano, he teamed up with Dani Sordo's former co-driver, Carlos del Barrio. Contesting 7 events of the season behind the wheel of a Toksport WRT prepared Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo gave Zaldivar 8th place in the overall classification, with the best result being 4th class place (11th overall) in Rally Italia Sardegna. In 2022, Zaldivar joined Hyundai Motorsport to compete in the combined WRC-2 series.[2] He changed his co-driver to Marcelo Der Ohanessian mid-season, but managed to finish only in 17th place in the overall WRC-2 classification and 4th in WRC-2 Junior. He also scored his first WRC point during 2022 Rally Japan, when he finished 5th on the Power Stage.
