Farm to Market Road 6, or FM 6 is a farm to market road, a state maintained road which serves to connect rural and agricultural areas to market towns, in the U.S. state of Texas. It is located in Collin and Hunt counties. The road is 11.5 miles long.
Route description
The road begins at an intersection with SH 78 just north of Lavon. From there, it goes east, passing through Nevada and Josephine. The eastern terminus is at SH 66 in Caddo Mills.
History
FM 6 was originally designated in 1942 as a 4.2-mile road from Caddo Mills to Josephine, replacing Spur 115.[2] It was extended to its current length in 1945.
