Fatma Sultan (1500–1571) (Ottoman Turkish: فاطمہ سلطان) was an Ottoman princess, daughter of Selim I and Ayşe Hafsa Sultan. She was the sister of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.
Biography
She was married to Kara Ahmed Pasha, who was the Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire between 1553 and 1555. After the death of Kara Ahmed Pasha, she went to live with her brother Suleiman the Magnificent in Topkapi palace. Their number of children are unknown.
Depictions in literature and popular culture
In the TV series Muhteşem Yüzyıl, Fatma Sultan is played by Turkish actress Meltem Cumbul.
