Fernando Manuel Romay Pereiro (born September 23, 1959 in A Coruña) is a retired basketball player from Spain, who represented his native country in two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1980. At his second Olympic appearance he won the silver medal with the Spain national basketball team. He stands around 7 ft tall.

He was the ACB's all-time leader in blocks (671),[1] until Fran Vázquez surpassed his record on 17 April 2016.[2]

After his retirement from professional basketball, in October 1995 Romay became an American football player with Madrid Panteras,[3] achieving on 8 June 1996 the Spanish league Bowl. He did not play any minute in the final game against Vilafranca Eagles.

Romay makes regular appearances on Spanish television on programmes such as Mira Quien Baila! (Spanish version of Dancing with the Stars).
