| Description |
The EL Falcon was built from August 1996-Sept 1998. The EL was just a facelift for the EF, the GLi and Futura got their grilles back, an oval shape, also new headlights, bonnet and bumper. Fairmont models featured new chrome grilles and the quad-headlights on the XR models were slightly changed. Suspension was improved across the range. Limited Edition models were available, the Sapphire, the Classic and the Falcon S. Also the 30th anniversary EL GT was available, built by Tickford Vehicle Engineering, with 200kw SVO GT40 5,0 V8. It got quite an outlandish look with a Darth Vader looking grille and large rear wing.
