Original Caption: Music Lovers Hail Hofmann Jubilee. New York City ---- Returning to the stage where on Nov. 29, 1887, he made his debut as a boy of 11 years, Josef Hofmann, one of the great pianists of today gives his Golden Jubilee Concert at the Metropolitan Opera House on Sunday night, November 28. This exclusive picture, made from the rear of the stage by members of the Wide World Studio staff, shows Mr. Hofmann at the piano and the large and distinguished audience that applauded long and enthusiastically in appreciation of his music. The proceeds, amounting to $22,000, were turned over to the Musicians Emergency Fund at Mr. Hofmann's request. (English)
