Summary

Description
English: Typical signal levels for a 8N1 RS-232 signal consisting of 1 start bit, 8 data bits, no parity and 1 stop bit.
Edit: two bytes shown so the distinction between going idle and going on to the next byte can be made (previous image showed going on to the next byte but did not make it clear). Font is courior 10 point, some formatting marks are hidden as extremely low saturation colors to assist future editors.Plugwash 23:43, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
