Pintura prerrománica mozárabe a la témpera de un elefante de combate.

Proviene de la iglesia de San Baudelio de Berlanga, en Casillas de Berlanga, Castilla-León, España. Data del siglo XI. Fue arrancado de la pared y pasado al lienzo. En la foto está cubierta por un cristal pero en 2007 ya no había cristal en el museo (aunque ya no dejaban sacar fotos). Es propiedad del Metropolitan Museum of Art de Nueva York.

Ahora las pinturas murales de San Baudelio están en depósito temporal indefinido en el Museo del Prado en Madrid a cambio de un claustro románico expuesto en The Cloisters.
