Summary

Description

The West End in Mallow was obviously a thriving place given the amount of goods and chattels on display. It seems a very "English" name or description for an Irish town, I wonder is it still used today?

Thanks to Megazoom™, our eagle-eyed contributors, and some pretty exhaustive searching of Cork Examiner archives by our intrepid Flickroonies, it seems fairly certain that we've attained the elusive trifecta for this one. Including location (117 Thomas Davis Street [Main St], Mallow, Co. Cork), subject (Rafferty's, Hanlon's, Barry's and other shops), and date (c.11 August 1903). We're really just short the name of the young fella leaning on the lamppost...
