English: DN-ST-95-01430 - A former USS IOWA (BB-61) sailor comforts the mother of Seaman Apprentice (SA) Nathaniel Jones, Jr., whose name appears on a memorial plaque honoring the 47 crew members who lost their lives when gun turret two exploded on board the battleship April 19, 1989 during gunnery practice. The plaque was rededicated during a special ceremony in Norfolk, April 17. Location: NORFOLK NAVAL BASE
