Description 050222-N-1444C-008 Persian Gulf (Feb. 22, 2005) – The Cyclone-class coastal patrol ship USS Typhoon (PC 5) patrols the waters of the Persian Gulf. The patrol craft’s primary mission is coastal patrol and interdiction surveillance. These ships also provide full mission support for Navy SEALs and other special operations forces.
