Summary

Description
English: The picture shows the allegedly supercentenarian soldier William Hiseland. It is the same picture as this: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Invalid_Soldier_Thomas_Hiseland.jpg, which, however, has the wrong given name. (Easily verified, since he is identified as William in the text on the painting itself.)
