It was founded in 1991 with 175 students, and currently has around 1370 students from kindergarten to year 12. The school motto is "The Truth Will Set You Free."

The library, surrounded by extensive green lawns, is soon to be joined by a drama department, due for completion sometime during 2008 ready to be used during 2009. The school in recent years has been renovated so that the entry and focus of the school is to Oakmont Drive instead of the busy Gordon Road.
