Hello, Goodbye is a Dutch airport reality television show produced by Dutch broadcaster NCRV and hosted by Joris Linssen. A British version of the show, aired on Sky 1, started on Thursday 19 February 2009 and is hosted by Kate Thornton, former presenter of Don't Try This at Home (TV series) and more prominently The X Factor (UK), and was commissioned for 6 episodes airing over 6 weeks. In Canada, CBC started to air a Canadian version 2016 January 08, hosted by Dale Curd.[1] Travel Channel announced a U.S. version for the 2015/2016 season, hosted by Curt Menefee.[2]

Format

The Show involves the presenter, roaming around the airport (Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Dutch series and London Heathrow Airport in the British series) with a camera man asking members of the public in departures and arrivals who they are saying goodbye to at the airport, or welcoming home. The presenter looks for unusual stories and the show is edited with inspirational music in dramatic points of the show, usually when people say their goodbyes or meet who they've been waiting for.
