Herlev Hornets

The Herlev IC Hornets are a Danish professional ice hockey team playing in the top Danish ice hockey league AL-Bank Ligaen. The team is located in the Copenhagen suburb of Herlev.
The team returned to the top Danish league following a two-year hiatus due to financial problems. For the 2011-12 season the team will be coached by Finn Juha Riihijärvi. Returning to the team will be former Herlev players and Danish national team players such as Kim Staal, Thor Dresler and Frederik Storm. The official name of this 'new' Herlev has not yet been officially announced.
