"Hurts" is a song by Scottish recording artist Emeli Sandé. The song was released as a digital download on 16 September 2016 through Virgin Records in the United Kingdom as the lead single from her second studio album Long Live the Angels (2016). The song has peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart and number 10 on the Scottish Singles Chart. The song has also charted in Belgium and Switzerland. The song was written by Adele Emily Sandé, James Murray, Mustafa Omer, Matthew Holmes, Philip Leigh and produced by Mac & Phil and Mojam.
The music video was released on 5 October 2016, and was directed by Dawn Shadforth.[1]
