English: Example Haming(7,4) code of the data 1011 into 0110011. Two bit errors have been introduced on bit 4 & 5 (marked with blue text) so the received word is 0111111 and the parity of the green circles are no longer even (marked with red text). Hamming(7,4) is able to detect 2 bit errors but is unable to correct them.
