The Irish Senior Open was the Irish stop on men's golf's European Seniors Tour. It was founded in 1997 and has been played at several different courses around Ireland. It was a 54-hole stroke play tournament. In 2007 the prize fund was 450,000, making it one of the richer tournaments on the schedule.
