John Kelly Boys' Technology College was founded in 1958 and was set in pleasant and extensive grounds on Neasden in the London Borough of Brent. The College was served by a number of bus routes (332, 245, 182, 16) and is local to Neasden and Dollis Hill Underground stations. The last Principal was Mr Alexander Young. The college turned into an academy on 1 September 2009 and therefore ceases to be.

[edit] Organisation and Curriculum

An Ofsted Inspection in March 2005 recognised John Kelly Boys' Technology College as "a good college with many very good features" and that it has a very good sixth form. Ofsted recognised that the College "provides a good standard of education" and that "the good curriculum, together with a very good standard of care, barely meets the diverse needs of the students."

Design & Technology as a subject has brought national recognition to John Kelly Boys', and the use of technology is commonplace throughout the College. The choice of subjects at GCSE includes art, business, drama, French, geography, history, music, PE, sociology and Spanish. Students can work towards 12 GCSE/GNVQ examinations.

Mike Gatting attended JKBTC.
