Template:Spanish name José Joaquín Torres Cadena (born July 15, 1952), also known as J.J. Torres, is a former football (soccer) referee from Colombia.

Torres Cadena served as a FIFA referee for several international tournaments, including the 1989 FIFA World Youth Championship[1] and the 1992 Olympic football tournament.[2] He also worked as a referee for 1994 World Cup qualifiers.[3]

He is mostly known for supervising four matches in the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States. Torres Cadena officiated the first-round match between Belgium and Morocco,[4] the first-round match between Ireland and Norway,[4] the quarterfinal between Germany and Bulgaria,[4] and the semifinal between Brazil and Sweden.[4]
