Kazuhiko Torishima (鳥嶋 和彦, Torishima Kazuhiko) is a Japanese editor and producer mostly associated with works from Weekly Shonen Jump. He is most notable for being the editor for the author Akira Toriyama during the run of Dr. Slump and through the first half of Dragon Ball.

Inspiration in fiction

Torishima has been parodied often in many manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. The most notable is the character Dr. Mashirito in Akira Toriyama's Dr. Slump, where he serves as the most prominent antagonist and has the same name but with the syllables reversed. Direct parody characters of him appear in Kinnikuman written by the duo Yudetamago and Bakuman by Tsugumi Ohba.
