Kibungo is a city in Ngoma district in the Eastern Province of Rwanda, and was the capital of the now defunct Kibungo Province.

Kibungo City

Kibungo is located about 100km from Kigali, along the main road to Tanzania. The town is divided into two parts, one on the main road itself, and another along a small spur.

The campus of UNATEK, the University of Agriculture, Technology and Education of Kibungo is located in kibungo town.
