Langkawi City Football Club is a Malaysian football club based in Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia. They currently play in the third-tier division in Malaysian football, the Malaysia M3 League.[1] The club homeground has been the 10,000-seaters, the Langkawi Stadium.

History

Glory United Era

Glory United is a club founded in 2017 in Shah Alam, Selangor and participated in several competitions in Klang Valley.

In 2018, the club has won the Subang M5 League and been eligible to compete in the Malaysia M3 League.

Langkawi Glory United Era

In 2019, The owner of Glory United is aware of the importance support from local community and at the same time Mr. Rohizan and some of his colleagues was planning to set up a club football "Langkawi-Based". An agreement was reached between the two parties, Glory United FC officially moved to Langkawi, Kedah and was known as Langkawi Glory United FC.

Langkawi Glory United FC failed to show impressive performance in the first season of the Malaysia M3 League when they finished 12th out of 14 teams competing.

Langkawi City FC Era

After finished Malaysia M3 League 2019, Glory United owner agrees to sold the team to Mr.Rohizan. Mr. Rohizan did the restructuring by changing the name of the team as 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙬𝙞 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙗 .

Langkawi City has utilised one primary crest since the club participation in the national level football league competition before the club introduce a new crest starting in 2020 season in order to solidify its new branding.[2]
