Marc E. Rothenberg (born 1961) is an American physician-scientist and Professor of Pediatrics. Rothenberg's research is focused on eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases.[2]
Career
Rothenberg's career began at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in 1996, where he is currently a Professor of Pediatrics, and the Director of the Division of Allergy and Immunology, respectively.[3] Rothenberg established the Cincinnati Center for Eosinophilic Disorders, a center focused on eosinophilic diseases.[4]
In 2016, Rothenberg was the first recipient of the Denise and Dave Bunning Chair for Allergy and Immunology.[5]
Rothenberg is also the current Director of the NIH-sponsored Consortium of Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease Researchers, part of the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network.[6] In 2021, he was elected Co-Chair of the RDCRN.[7]
Research
The Rothenberg CURED Laboratory at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center conducts research focused on the molecular analysis of allergic inflammation, particularly the pathogenesis of eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders.[8]
