Marco Balbul, (Hebrew: מרקו בלבול; born July 13, 1967), is a former Israeli football defender.

Early life

Marco is the last child of Jewish immigrants from Egypt who arrived in Israel in 1950 and settled in Tirat Carmel. Aged 9, he was accepted to the youth system of Maccabi Haifa. Reuven Held, a coach of one of the youth teams, sent him to train in front of Lazar Steinberg, who allegedly said, on seeing him play, that both Balbul and Ofer Mizrahi would play for the full squad.

Managing career

on 28 December Marco Balbul was declared as the new manager of Maccabi Haifa Football Club, replacing Alexander Stanoyevic who was resigned from the job.
