Mari Depression

The Mari Depression is a depression at the left side of the Volga, from the western borders of the Mari El to the Bolshaya Kokshaga River. Elevation is from 50 to 100 metres, now is partly flooded with Cheboksary Reservoir. The dunes covered with forests are situated between the rivers.
