Maweni is an administrative ward in Tanga District of Tanga Region in Tanzania. The ward covers an area of 72.7 km2 (28.1 sq mi),[1] and has an average elevation of 75 m (246 ft).[2] According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 14,091.[3]
