The N-I was the former main road from Madrid to France in Spain.
The majority has now been replaced by the Autovía A-1 and Autopista AP-1. The road starts at Irun then goes via Donostia , Tolosa, Beasain, Altsasu to Vitoria. It then runs parallel to the AP-1 to Miranda de Ebro and Burgos where it was upgraded and becomes the A-1.
