Norwich City Council elections
One third of the Norwich City Council in Norfolk, England is elected each year, followed by one year without election. Since the last boundary changes in 2019, 39 councillors have been elected from 13 wards.[1]
Political control
Since the first elections to the council in 1973 under the new system brought in by the Local Government Act 1972, political control of the council has been held by the following parties:[2]

Leadership
The role of Lord Mayor of Norwich is largely ceremonial, and is generally held by a different person each year. Political leadership is provided instead by the leader of the council. The leaders since 1974 have been:[3]
