Osorno
Ski La Burbuja, Volcán Osorno

Volcán Osorno is a 2,652 m (8,701 feet) tall conical volcano lying between the provinces of Osorno and Llanquihue, in Los Lagos Region of Chile. This is one of the most active volcanoes of the southern Chilean Andes. It stands on the southeastern shore of Lake Llanquihue, known worldwide as a symbol of the local landscape. The volcano also towers over Todos los Santos Lake. It was used as the backdrop for promotional photos and video in Motorola's 2005 global advertising campaign for the PEBL mobile phone.

Interestingly, this mountain has an extremely similar appearance to Mount Fuji.

Charles Darwin glimpsed Volcán Osorno from a distance in the course of the second voyage of the Beagle, and in fact witnessed its eruption in January 1835.
