In Greek mythology, Pallas (Πάλλας) was one of the Gigantesses born of the blood which spilled onto Gaia when Cronus castrated his father Uranus.[1]  Pallas confronted Athena during the Gigantomachy, where Athena killed her and turned her skin into a shield (the Aegis).[2]  Pallas is sometimes referred to as being goat-like. After Athena slayed him she took the name Pallas, for she Is sometimes referred to as Pallas Athena
