Panjab University Extension Library was established in 1959 in the city of Ludhiana, Punjab, India, by Panjab University Chandigarh, University Grant Commission and Indian Wheat Loan Education Exchange Programme of US Embassy. At present the library has a collection of over 178,000 publications which include books, bound volumes of journals, dissertations, rare books, reports, governments documents, standards, back files of news paper, Braille books, University result gazette/ notification/ syllabi etc.[1]
