Parkshuttle

ParkShuttle is a people mover providing passenger transport from Kralingse Zoom metro station in the Kralingen neighbourhood of eastern Rotterdam to a business district in Capelle aan den IJssel, South Holland, Netherlands. The ParkShuttle uses small autonomous vehicles for personal rapid transit guided by the Free Ranging On Grid (FROG) system where the vehicles follow magnetic guide wires laid in the road. The system is operated by ConneXXion using 12-seater minibuses.

The system experienced a crash in 2005 with no passengers on board.[1] The cause proved to be human error when operators remotely restarted the system after an automated safety shutdown without properly checking its status.[2]
