The Hilaire’s Toadhead Turtle or Hilaire’s Side-necked Turtle (Phrynops hilarii) ranges in southern Brazil (Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul) southward and westward into Uruguay and Argentina; possibly also in Paraguay and Bolivia.
