The Pipeline Authority Act was enacted in 1973 by the Australian Parliament.

It was enacted by Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and his Labor Party to oversee the planning and construction of a National Pipeline system and its subsequent operation and maintenance. It was repealed or ceased 22 June 2006.
