Pope John Paul is the name of two Popes of the Roman Catholic Church:
- Pope John Paul I (1978), who named himself in honor of his predecessors, Pope John XXIII, who had named him a bishop, and Pope Paul VI, who had named him Patriarch of Venice and a cardinal. Pope John Paul I reigned for only 33 calendar days.
- Pope John Paul II (1978–2005), the first Polish Pope. He named himself "out of fondness" for his predecessors Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul I.
