Pramod Dwivedi
Pramod Dwivedi (Hindi: प्रमोद द्विवेदी) is an American public health practitioner and researcher. He currently serves as the President of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO),[1] representing more than 3,000 local health departments in the United States. Dwivedi also holds the position of Health Director at Linn County Public Health in Iowa.[2] He has been a vocal advocate for advancing health equity and addressing social drivers of health to improve overall population health.[3][4][5]
Dwivedi has been widely quoted in media coverage of various public health issues in the country and has authored numerous op-eds emphasizing contemporary public health issues, and the significance of local health departments in improving public's health.[6][7][8][9][10][11]
His scientific opinions on public health issues are often sought,[12] which was also the case at the height of SARS-CoV-2 outbreak (COVID-19 pandemic) where his views were referenced.[13][14]
Dwivedi holds a Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Iowa.
