Princess Tyra is a 2007 Ghanaian drama film directed by Frank Rajah Arase, and starring Jackie Aygemang, Van Vicker & Yvonne Nelson. The film received 12 nominations and won 2 awards at the 2008 Africa Movie Academy Awards, including the awards for Best Costume & Best Makeup.[1][2][3]

It tells a story of Maafia a maid in the palace of Llugbo kingdom, who finds herself entangled in a societal class mess. If the rich gets the rich pregnant, it’s OK but if the rich gets the poor pregnant then it becomes a fabricated lie. Maafia is pregnant for prince Kay, a man the princess of Llugbo kingdom Princess Tyra has been betrothed to since childhood. How does she handle the pregnancy and her present condition?

Nollywood Reinvented gave it a 4 out of 5 rating concluding that "Say what you may against the movie, you can not deny, however, that it was an interesting story".[4]
