[edit] History
- 1997-2002 - Early Years: Zero-Knowledge Systems gave Internet privacy through user-friendly technology. The company recruited cryptographers and software programmers to build the world’s first and only[citation needed] global network of private encrypted servers, called the Freedom Network, to enable private and secure Internet surfing. During the dot-com crash, the company dismissed many of its staff and was criticized in the press. The Freedom Network was shut down in 2002, and the software became obsolete.
- 2002-2008 - Rebranding: The company changed its business model to provide an Internet security services platform for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), rather than selling directly to consumers. The company rebranded with a new name, Radialpoint.
- 2009: Radialpoint acquired HiWired[2] and Casero,in the market of Premium Support and Online Sharing & Backup.
