Ray J. Ball

Ray J. Ball is an accounting researcher and Sidney Davidson Professor at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago. He was a 2009 inductee into the Accounting Hall of Fame, in recognition of his contributions to the field.[1]

He is an editor of the Journal of Accounting Research, one of the top journals in accounting research.[2]

He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a bachelors degree in accounting. In 1968 and 1972 he received MBA and Ph.D. degrees from University of Chicago.[3][4]
