Regina Blois Duarte (born February 5, 1947 in Franca, São Paulo) is a Brazilian film, television and stage actress and one of the most famous actresses in Brazilian show business.[citation needed]

Her efforts against former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (of the Workers' Party) in the 2002 elections caused considerable controversy. Duarte appeared in a TV advertisement saying that she was afraid of what could happen to Brazil if Lula won.[1]

She was also involved in the short-lived polemic organization Cansei. After her performance in Minha Doce Namorada ("My Sweet Girlfriend"), Duarte "earned" the title of "Brazil's Sweetheart" (much like actress Meg Ryan in the United States).

She is the mother of actress Gabriela Duarte.
