Rembert A. Duine (born 1975) is an Associate Professor of Theoretical Physics[2] at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He has authored and co-authored more than 50[3] papers on spintronics, ultracold atoms, and condensation in dissipative systems (photons, magnons, and excitons).

Besides other notable achievements, landmark publications by Duine and his collaborators have led to the opening of new sub-fields of Physics, such as magnetic skyrmion spintronics,[4] antiferromagnetic spintronics,[5] and cold-atom spintronics.[6]
